Rain, rain go away...and stay away

I'm sure all of you are just as sick of the rainy days we have had of late and I, who hates rain anyways (makes for some frizzy hair) is really sick of the rain! We've only been back from Florida for 2 days and already I miss the bright sunshine that beamed down on us even if it was 100 degrees. When we came back from FL I fully anticipated there would be a giant hole in the ground in Urbandale with my name on it...not so much. That dang rain has kept the contractors away so we are still waiting to break ground. In an effort to improve my spirits and keep me enthused about the new house I look at the interior photos on a daily basis of Bill and Lora's beautiful abode. Here is one of my favorites and a little sneak peek for all you wondering what this place is going to look like when it's all said and done...and now...PRESENTING...

wait for it...the kitchen!

TAAAA-DAAAAA! Gorgeous, right? There will be a few slight modifications to our kitchen but for the most part this is the look we are going for - creamy off white wood work with dark wood accents. Love, love, love this combo! I'm feeling better already! Hopefully now you can see what the fuss is all about. That's all for now...keep praying for drier days ahead...not only for my sake but for those folks in Hamburg, Iowa. XOXO - j
