Wrap your crap

Normally I have the hardest time coming up with a blog post title but today was easy…I can proudly say that our house is wrapped up in Tyvek, by DuPont, Pioneer’s parent company. So glad I can do my tiny portion to keep the ginormous company I work for afloat. Since the workers were there on Sunday, we didn’t want to bother them so we just did quick drive by photos. Sorry, you don’t get any photos of us in all of our Sunday glory this week!

We then passed the spec house and they were having an open house so we decided to go in. Brian was in gym shorts and boat shoes and I looked a wreck as we walked in next to some people dressed in their Sunday best. Anyways, the cabinets they are putting in are delayed so they didn’t have a everything finished (the cabs they ordered for this one are a knotty rustic look) but the trim was on, doors were on and everything was painted. It gave us that much more of a visual of what our place will look like since it has pretty close to the same layout as ours. Bill, the builder, just happened to be there so we got to chat with him for a bit which was fun! He was taking us around and showing us some stuff and giving us ideas. He told us he would be calling us next week to start picking out some finishes and do a walk through. We’ll be seeing a lot more of each other soon, he said!  Bill took Brian to the basement and figured out where we will put all of our electronics components in our basement. Turns out under the stairs is not the best option like we thought. It’s really refreshing to work with someone that is so interested in our ideas and willing to make things work so it will be perfect for our needs. Not sure what comes next but I’m excited to find out. Can’t wait till we can put a roof on it. XOXO - j
