Let there be light!

Brian and I made a surprise Tuesday visit to the house...totally out of our normal schedule so we felt a little rebellious! We took a flash light because we didn't know if the lights actually worked and besides the rooms with can lights there weren't any fixtures in when we were there last. We were pleasantly surprised when we showed up and it was dark outside already but there was a faint glow coming from inside the house. LIGHTS! The contractors left a light on in the kitchen which was great so we could actually see their work and figured out that many of the other light switches work. The highlight of this rebellious visit was not the lights, however...we discovered immediately upon opening the front door that the wood floor had started to be laid. They were far from done but so far I am confident that wood floor was worth the wait. Here are a few pics, you be the judge (but maybe wait until it's all done to judge!).

Office room - right off the front door

Office room  - floor against the built in shelves

What is done of the wood floors in the kitchen
Like I mentioned - the wood floors stole the show, the light fixtures were just as exciting to see and turn on.  We are still learning and probably will be for a while what light switch operates what!

Fan in the office

fixture in basement bath

Same fixture in 1/2 bath on main floor

Fan in master

IT WORKS!

The fans that are in the other bedrooms

Jack and Jill fixtures

On Suite bathroom vanity and fixture

And lastly...our beautiful house lit up in the dark night sky...

Oh and there is grass! The bad thing about going when it was dark was that we couldn't really see it. More to come on that on Sunday!

XOXO - j
